Sample Client Pavement Design Document

Sample Client Pavement Design Document by Graham Foley (May 2003). This report, written by a specialist pavement engineer, Graham Foley, is an example of using the general mechanistic procedure to refine an existing pavement design to provide an alternative pavement design. It will be of use to both experienced and less-experienced pavement designers as how to approach and document a mechanistic design.

Using RLT (Repeated Load Triaxial) test data for granular materials in CIRCLY Pavement Design

RLT (Repeated Load Triaxial) tests are used in New Zealand to characterize the rutting resistance of granular materials (NZ Transport Agency T15 (2014)).

You can use properties from RLT tests in CIRCLY via the Unbound Granular RLT (Austroads 2004 sub-layering) material type.

These notes outline the steps in CIRCLY.
